Happy hour at Yew Seafood + Bar is catering to those looking for late night snacks and cocktails. For seven days a week from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. the “reverse happy hour” features five new cocktails for $10 to pair with five new dishes also for $10 a plate.
For those diners who just want to chow down on steak and potatoes during happy hour, Nomad is the place to be. The restaurant, on Main Street, offers a slew of comfort dishes from slow cooked pork on ciabatta bread to house-cured duck pastrami served daily from 10 p.m. to close and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekends.
Pidgin, which features a regular menu of charred octopus and smoked taramasalata is putting the surprise back in dining. It features daily specials with a handful of drink selections from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and again from 10:30 till closing.
Located in the heart of Richmond’s Steveston Fisherman’s Wharf, Tapenade Bistro’s happy hour is a spin-off of their regular full menu, with lots of seafood options, and beers and wines at $5 offered daily from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
To get the most bang for your buck, the Opus Bar in Yaletown offers a happy hour special from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a choice of six items for $5 each. The menu features small plates of grilled prawn skewers and fried artichokes and serves up shared plates of spicy meatballs and Parmesan soufflé.
