In 1992, one of Roper Greyell’s founders, Thomas A. Roper Q.C., was appointed by the Minister of Labour as part of a three-person panel to review the B.C. Labour Relations Code. The panel’s recommendations resulted in major changes to the labour code and legislative framework. More than 22 years later, there have not been extensive amendments to the legislation that came from the committee.

Roper Greyell’s many year-round charitable activities include Pro Bono Going Public, where over 100 lawyers provide free legal advice in Surrey, Vancouver, Kelowna and Victoria to raise awareness and funds for B.C.’s pro bono programs. In 2015, over $11,000 was raised. In addition, many Roper Greyell lawyers make significant contributions to other charitable organizations in their communities.
