Brian Wong
The 23-year-old founder and CEO of Kiip, a mobile marketing startup, says that Vancouver’s tech scene has the foundations right: great schools, favourable immigration laws and plenty of talent, but that it’s still in early days. “It’s nascent, it’s only going to continue to grow,” he says.
He also has some advice for young entrepreneurs: “If you don’t ask, no one knows how to help you,” says Wong, who is speaking at this week’s GROW conference in Whistler. “That’s one of the simplest things you can do to kick-start your career.”
