Every charity has their prestigious mark of distinction. For Variety, it’s the Golden Heart Community Achievement Award. The award honours individuals and organizations that have made exceptional philanthropic contributions throughout B.C. and Canada. This year’s Golden Heart Community Achievement Award went to the one and only Global BC for the countless years they’ve supported Variety, the Children’s Charity.

The dinner was a superstar magnet, drawing in a long list of local celebs. Honoured speakers included B.C.’s outgoing Premier, Gordon Campbell, and former politician extraordinaire, “Amazing Grace” McCarthy. Despite the November rain, Vancouver’s elite were out in their gowns and tuxes, all out of love for the children.
