The gala dinner at the Vogue Theatre
2015 Children’s Wish Foundation of B.C. and Yukon’s Wish Gala The Vogue Theatre March 05, 2015
The second annual Children’s Wish Gala, presented by Pacific Blue Cross, was sold out. Almost 200 guests attended the event, which raised more than $150,000 for Children’s Wish Foundation of B.C. and Yukon.
At a VIP champagne reception, the evening’s Wish kids and their families met with each other, and guests bid on silent auction items. Edible Canada provided the dinner, and Air Transat donated a raffle prize of a one-week trip for two to Mexico. Global Television’s Sonia Beeksma co-hosted along with Edible Canada’s Eric Pateman and Wish child Avery Carpenter.
Each year, thousands of Canadian children between the ages of three and 17 are diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is dedicated to granting an exceptional wish to every child. The B.C. & Yukon chapter has been granting wishes since 1987. This vast geographic area is the responsibility of the staff backed by a team of dedicated volunteers and a supportive board.
