AG Hair named one of Canada’s best-managed companies

Lotte Davis and AG Hair help impoverished students in Africa

Hair product manufacturer one of 43 B.C. businesses to make the list

For the second year, Vancouver-based AG Hair is on the list of Canada’s best-managed companies. 

In its 25th year, the Best Managed Companies program is sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC, Canadian Business, Smith School of Business, TMX Group and MacKay CEO Forums, and recognizes exceptional Canadian businesses with revenue of over $15 million.

AG Hair was founded in 1989 by John and Lotte Davis. A portion of every bottle of hair product sold supports One Girl Can, a registered charity that provides educational opportunities to impoverished girls living in marginalized areas of Africa.

This year, the company launched a line of hair products formulated with up to 98 percent plant-derived ingredients. It also expanded, reaching direct-to-consumer e-commerce agreements with several countries in Central and South America. The company plans to move into a new head office and manufacturing facility in Coquitlam in July 2018.
