Global BC’s Sonia Beeksma emceed the gala, which began with a VIP reception featuring live music. Jesse Hochhaussen, executive chef of the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel, and Vikram Vij of Vij’s Restaurant collaborated on the dinner. A patient’s story was highlighted followed by remarks from Teri Nicholas, BCCHF president, and Robin Dhir, gala founding chair and Fasken Martineau strategic advisor and Twin Brook Developments Ltd. president. A live auction by Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers ended the evening along with a drum circle and dance performance.
