BC Sports Hall of Fame Gala raises over $180,000
More than 900 guests, including past and present inductees, attended the BC Sports Hall of Fame Induction Gala at Parq Vancouver on May 31. Presented by Victory Square Technologies, the event raised over $180,000.
The evening of sport celebration and recognition began with a cocktail reception, followed by a procession of honoured members and 2018 Hall of Fame inductees into the ballroom. Global TV’s Chris Gailus and Squire Barnes were emcees.
Induction to the BC Sports Hall of Fame recognizes extraordinary achievement in B.C.’s athletic community in the categories of athlete, builder, team, pioneer and media. Since 1966, the BC Sports Hall of Fame has inducted 385 individuals and 60 teams.
