B.C. second-most-represented province on Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list

Bench Accounting of Vancouver is one of Canada’s fastest-growing technology players by revenue

Ranking measures which Canadian tech companies grew the most over the past four years

Thirteen companies based in B.C. made the 2017 Deloitte Technology Fast 50 list, which ranks the Canadian tech businesses with the highest revenue growth rates over four-year period. 

Ontario companies topped the list, with social entertainment producer Diply leading the country thanks to revenue expansion of more than 90,000 per cent. Prodigy Game (a game-based learning platform) and Prodigy Ventures (which creates consumer apps with emerging technologies in mobile, video, augmented reality, 3D, artificial intelligence and blockchain, and is not related to Prodigy Game) round out the top three.

In fourth, though, is Vancouver bookkeeping software developer Bench Accounting, which drummed up a 12,814-per-cent revenue increase.

The other B.C. companies in order of rank: SendtoNews Video Inc. (based in Victoria, ranked seventh), Refresh Financial Inc. (Kelowna, ninth), Awesense Wireless Inc. (Vancouver, 14th), Canada Drives (Vancouver, 18th), Foodee Inc. (Vancouver, 21st), Visier Inc. (Vancouver, 22nd), BroadbandTV Corp. (Vancouver, 25th), Allocadia (Vancouver, 26th), Neurio Technology Inc. (Vancouver, 31st), Unbounce (Vancouver, 33rd), Buyatab Online Inc. (Vancouver, 34th) and Eastside Games Inc. (Vancouver, 46th).

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50.
