Just over 1,000 guests attended the BCBusiness Top 100 networking event at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on June 29, featuring special guest and Victoria native David Foster who is considered one of the most successful music producers in history. The afternoon began with a stand-up networking luncheon followed by an interview of Foster by Canada Wide Media chairman and CEO Peter Legge. Foster revealed insightful stories, both business and personal, including his memories of working with such legendary stars as Celine Dion, Barbra Streisand, Michael Bublé, Andrea Bocelli and Rod Stewart. He even ventured into the audience to take questions, resulting in a very entertaining afternoon that included a presentation of his high school report card and a performance of snippets of his hit songs including "St. Elmo’s Fire" and the disco hit "Got to Be Real."
