The next #BCTechSummit will focus on how B.C. can use emerging technologies to solve provincial and global problems.

Crown agency Innovate BC hosts the fourth annual event—complete with a “Reality Revolution” theme—next March 11 to 13 at the Vancouver Convention Centre.

Headlining are attorney and former FBI counterterrorism operative Eric O’Neill as well as Tan Le, founder and CEO of brain research firm Emotiv.

Other speakers include Premier John Horgan; Shirley Vickers, president and CEO of Innovate BC and innovation commissioner Alan Winter.

“We are absolutely thrilled by the incredible demand we’re seeing to get involved in this year’s event,” said Vickers. “Businesses are recognizing that technology is everywhere and revolutionizing every part of our economy—so this year’s program will empower conference attendees to discover and learn how emerging technologies can be harnessed to solve global problems, benefit British Columbians in all regions of our province, and enable the industries and jobs of the future.”

New features of the 2019 #BCTechSummit include master classes (experts will share insights into business strategies and successes), hands-on workshops and innovation challenges, where industry and government will pitch their business problems to B.C. technology researchers.
