Amanda Ross, who wrote about Uniqlo’s B.C. store last summer, checked the store out in person this week. It will feature the Uniqlo and JWAnderson capsule collection, of which several pieces are already sold out online in the U.S.

Launch celebrations include traditional Japanese Taiko drumming and special offers: until Monday, October 9, Blocktech items are on sale for $59.90 instead of the usual $79.90, and the extra fine merino wool sweaters are $29.90 instead of $49.90.

And on opening day only, there’s a chance to win a trip for two to Tokyo. Be in line by 9:30 a.m. Friday morning to submit your name for the draw when the store opens at 10 a.m.
