More than 540 guests attended the 3rd annual Canucks Autism Network (CAN) Reveal Gala at Rogers Arena on June 9, raising more than $1.1 million for families living with autism in B.C. The arena was transformed into “St. Tropez” with 66 tables, representing the the one in 66 children diagnosed with autism in Canada. With veteran broadcasters Tamara Taggart and Mike Killeen as emcees, the evening presented the challenges, gifts and possibilities that autism can bring.
Reveal is the signature fundraising event for the Canucks Autism Network (CAN), a non-profit organization founded by Vancouver Canucks co-owners Paolo and Clara Aquilini in 2008 in honour of their autistic son, Christian. Its goal is to increase training and awareness across B.C. while providing year-round sports and recreation programs for families and individuals living with autism.
