Lunch, networking and words of wisdom from Ian Telfer

More than 800 attended the sold-out 2018 BCBusiness Top 100 event at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver on June 28. The afternoon began with a stand-up networking luncheon followed by an interview with Goldcorp chairman and director Ian Telfer with Canada Wide Media chairman and CEO Peter Legge. Telfer recounted his journey building Vancouver-based Goldcorp into one of the world’s largest gold mining companies, beginning with a staff of seven in 1994 and growing to over 15,000 today.

The BCBusiness Top 100 is the networking event of the year, marking the release of the Top 100 issue of the magazine and the definitive list of B.C.’s largest companies by revenue.

Goldcorp Inc. is a gold production company headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, engaged in gold mining and related activities including exploration, extraction, processing and reclamation.
