A sold-out crowd of 375 guests gathered for an intimate fundraiser for Glow, a gala benefiting BC Women’s Hospital Foundation, at the Pan Pacific Hotel on October 13. Presented by Telus, the evening featured a performance by B.C. superstar Michael Bublé and raised over $2.4 million.

At a private VIP reception, business leaders were photographed with Bublé before joining the cocktail reception a floor below. Silent auction items included rare wines and a fully loaded suite for 34 at Rogers Arena during Ellen DeGeneres’s appearance there on October 19.

CTV anchors Mi-Jung Lee and Scott Roberts emcee’d the event, and BC Women’s Hospital Foundation president and CEO Genesa Greening made opening remarks. Guests then enjoyed a four-course dinner before Burnaby’s own Michael Bublé took the stage to sing four songs and thank Dr. Mark Rosengarten for helping deliver his children.

Glow Gala is an evening of inspiring stories and great company attended by 350+ of Vancouver’s elite business, health care and philanthropic leaders who are committed to providing revolutionary health care for women in B.C.

The goal of the 2018 gala is to renovate and upgrade the existing single room maternity suites to expand the patient-centred care and create equitable space to correspond with the NICU Suites, bringing new mothers and newborns closer together.

BC Women’s Hospital is dedicated to ensuring that women and newborns have access to the highest-quality healthcare when, where and how they need it.
