Dine/ Parq Vancouver, the newish hotel and casino complex near BC Place, now includes a restaurant overlooking its parklike green space on the sixth floor. The Victor (its logo reads “To the victor belong the spoils”), whose oak furniture was inspired by the tables and benches in the British House of Commons, offers seafood, steak, and a sushi and raw bar. 

FLY/ Kelowna-based Flair Airlines Ltd. has acquired two additional Boeing 737-400s and a new colour design for its fleet, chosen last summer through an online customer survey. Serving Vancouver, Abbotsford, Kelowna, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Hamilton and Toronto, the ultra-low-cost carrier operates seven aircraft and plans to add two Boeing 737-800s later this year. Flair expects to purchase four more Boeing planes in 2019, to help accommodate an estimated 1.5 million passengers.

SHOP/ Athleisure retailer Lululemon Athletica Inc. has opened a stand-alone store for men at the Park Royal Shopping Centre in West Vancouver. Meanwhile, Frank and Oak, which launched in Montreal in 2012 as an online-only menswear brand, expanding to brick-and-mortar stores two years later, now has a pop-up women’s clothing store on Robson Street. Its Gastown location will continue to sell apparel for both sexes while the company tests the new women’s shop over the next year.
