Technology is one of Victoria’s largest industries. So it makes sense that the Victoria Innovation, Advanced Technology and Entrepreneurship Council (VIATEC) has been hosting a biennial trade show in “Tectoria” since 2003 to present and celebrate innovation in the city.

Taking place at Crystal Garden on June 2, Discover Tectoria is a one-day event showcasing 75 tech companies from Victoria for attendees to interact with. It’s an opportunity for brands to present their work and for visitors to get an idea of what’s driving the tech sector in 2023. Expect booths from the likes of ocean innovation accelerator COAST, real estate marketing platform RealVault, cloud-based software vendor Workday and Royal Roads University.

Drop by if you’re around because it’s free and there’s no registration required. Career talks, keynote speeches and product demos are a few important features of the expo, which welcomes the public but is particularly known for attracting job seekers, investors and policymakers among others. Sponsors and partners include crown agency Innovate BC, software company Kano, University of Victoria and more.
