The 32nd annual Crystal Ball raises over $4 million for the BC Children's Hospital

On November 16, more than 400 guests attended the 32nd annual Crystal Ball, raising over $4 million benefitting the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. Presented by Beedie, the evening began with a cocktail reception and bidding on silent auction items, followed by a four-course dinner; live auction with CBC’s Fred Lee; and a raffle draw.
Auction items included an Elton John concert at Rogers Arena in a Legends Suite for 33 people; an exclusive Cabo hideaway vacation; a ultimate Whistler VIP experience; a trip to Japan; and an 18.69 carat diamond bracelet. The theme of this years gala, kintsukuroi, is the Japanese philosophy that there is “perfection in imperfection.”
Crystal Ball is supporting the BC Children’s Hospital’s pediatric mental health programs, helping to bring hope and guidance to countless children and families in need. Last year, there were more than 16,000 visits from kids who accessed mental health services. The BC Children’s Hospital is the only hospital in the province devoted to the care of children providing expert care for the sickest and most seriously injured kids. Since its inception, Crystal Ball has raised over $30 million for BC Children’s Hospital.
