The Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Governors' Banquet and Rix Awards 2018

Over 1,000 business leaders and Board of Trade members attended the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade Governors’ Banquet and Rix Awards on April 23 at the Vancouver Convention Centre to celebrate the contributions of the GVOT past chairs—known collectively as the Governors. This year Robin Silvester,president and CEO of the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, was honoured and invested into the prestigious Council of Governors.
The Rix Awards are a special initiative of the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade in honour of the late Dr. Don Rix, who served as chair from 2008-09. Each year two prestigious awards are presented at the annual black-tie Governors’ Banquet: the Rix award for Engaged Corporate Citizenship, this year given to Beedie Development Group; and the Rix Award for Engaged Community Citizenship, this year given to Gordon and Leslie Diamond.
