BCBusiness will announce the 2017 30 Under 30 winners on April 13. In the meantime, here’s what a 2016 winner had to say last year

To help us choose last year’s 30 Under 30, we sent each candidate a series of questions to see what made them tick. Here’s how Wilson Lee, who is Founder and CEO of Wun2Free, responded.

What motivational quote gets you going?
“GSD—Get Sh*t Done’ by Wilson Lee.”

Beyond family and friends, who inspires you to succeed?
“I am inspired by the team that I work with to continue to learn and to strive for excellence each day, which ultimately leads to our success. It is my mission to lead my team to discover their strengths, and by doing just that, as a team we can tackle any audacious goals.”

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“View life as a continuous learning experience.”

What’s the worst advice you’ve ever received?
“I believe there is always something to learn from other people’s opinion and suggestions. Whether it fits me at the particular time and situation is strictly circumstantial.”

What’s your biggest fear?
“My biggest fear is becoming complacent and thinking that I’ve learnt it all.”

What’s your biggest regret?
“There aren’t any regrets that I have as I’ve learnt from all the decisions that I’ve made, good and bad. The biggest regret I will have is the moment I choose to stop learning.”

What’s your favourite TV show right now.
“Narcos. I am intrigued by the story of this drug lord.”

Favourite magazine
“I don’t read magazines. My favourite book is E-Myth Revisited by Michael Gerber as it has set the foundation of how I view business.”

What song is on repeat on your device right now?
“To set the record, I am not a big fan of Justin Bieber. However, ‘Love Yourself’ by Justin Bieber is on repeat now.”

A little-known fact about me is…
“I am always full of business ideas ready to execute. My friends find me a little crazy and annoying at times, as I actually execute the ideas that I have. I’ve started a tutoring academy, a sewing business, a bubble tea booth, a web development company, a marketing agency, a video-producing agency, a cupcake brand, an ice cream shop and a carnival/event entertainment.”
