More than 1,200 guests attended the BCBusiness Top 100 lunch featuring special guest Richard Jaffray, president of Cactus Restaurants Ltd. A stand-up luncheon reception was an opportunity to network with the province's most prominent business leaders.
The event was emceed by Peter Legge, Canada Wide Media Ltd. chairman and CEO, with remarks by Rebecca Legge, Canada Wide Media Ltd. VP sales. Brian Korpan, Canadian Western Bank VP, and Matt O'Grady, BCBusiness editor-in-chief, spoke before the Q&A.
Richard Jaffray shared stories from his beginning as a busboy to his induction into the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame. A true college dropout success story, Jaffray's ambition for a career in the restaurant industry has taken him from living in a sailboat to changing the face of casual dining in BC.
