BCBusiness wins BC Magazine of the Year

BCBusiness magazine won the coveted Magazine of the Year award for B.C./Yukon. The award was presented by the Western Magazine Awards Foundation (WMAF) and announced at the 25th annual Western Magazine Awards held at the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside in Vancouver on Friday, June 22nd, 2007.

BCBusiness magazine won the coveted Magazine of the Year award for B.C./Yukon. The award was presented by the Western Magazine Awards Foundation (WMAF) and announced at the 25th annual Western Magazine Awards held at the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside in Vancouver on Friday, June 22nd, 2007.

“We are extremely honoured to receive this prestigious award and to be recognized by the industry and our peers,” said Tracy Tjaden, Editor, BCBusiness magazine. More than 200 guests were in attendance as the WMAF’s host, Mark Leiren-Young, presented awards in 27 written and visual categories. Judges deliberated over 800 submissions sent by 93 magazines from Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, the Northwest Territories, and British Columbia. Peter Legge, President & Publisher, Canada Wide Media Limited added, “When we purchased BCBusiness magazine from Jimmy Pattison in 1991, my promise to him was to make BCBusiness the best regional business magazine in the country.
