CEOs in Cars, Episode 10: The Vancouver Canadians Jake Kerr

BCBusiness teamed up with the Dilawri Group of Companies for a unique online video series titled CEOs in Cars, featuring high-performance business leaders driving equally high-performance cars.

Episode 10 features Vancouver Canadian co-owner Jake Kerr, whose current obsession with wielding big wood at the plate has a lot to do with his business roots. He founded Lignum Forest Products.

After selling his lumber company, Kerr indulged his lifelong passion for baseball by buying the Northwest League Canadians in 2007, teaming up with A&W chairman Jeff Mooney. The duo refurbished the city’s iconic Nat Bailey Stadium with help from the City and switched the team’s affiliation from the Oakland A’s to the Toronto Blue Jays. Considering that the Jays have long been considered Canada’s Team when it comes to the Great American Pastime, it was a brilliant move.

Given Kerr’s effective, subdued way of driving value and economies of scale, we put him behind the wheel of the 2014 Audi A6. Click the video above to watch it now.
