Diamond Rally 2014: Vancouver to Whistler
Brian Jessel BMW
June 14, 2014

Over 100 car enthusiasts took part in the second annual Diamond Rally from Vancouver to Whistler, along the Sea-to-Sky highway. Brian Jessel BMW was the starting point sponsor, where 115 supercars gathered for opening remarks by Jim Murray, Brian Jessel BMW managing director; Robbie Dickson, Diamond Rally director and co-founder; and Craig Stowe, Diamond Rally co-founder. The speakers were followed by a continental breakfast and a police escort to the highway.

The first checkpoint in Squamish, at Chances Casino, enabled drivers to take a break and explore other cars. Following that, the fleet continued on to Whistler and gathered in the Olympic Plaza, where tourists posed for photos with the vehicles. A group dinner was held at Araxi in Whistler Village, concluding with dancing and sabering of Champagne. The drivers were given the opportunity to raise money for their favourite charities, and the rally provided the opportunity to generate awareness and support for Luxury & Supercar Weekend, held annually at VanDusen Botanical Garden, this year September 6-7.
