Autumn’s cool, crisp weather is perfect for pedalling

Kettle Valley Rail Trail

Kettle Valley Rail Trail
For families and serious bikers alike, the Kettle Valley Rail Trail starts from Myra Canyon in Kelowna. The 11-kilometre trail is famous for its stunning mountainous and lakeside views, 18 trestles, two steel bridges and two tunnels. A host of local companies offer guided bike tours.

Colony Farm

Colony Farm
Coquitlam’s Colony Farm is a lush hidden gem about 40 minutes outside of Vancouver. The trail beside the Coquitlam River, home to herons, ducks and hawks, spans 15 kilometres of hard-packed and paved surfaces.

Galloping Goose Rail Trail

The 59-kilometre trail runs from downtown Victoria to Leechtown, a ghost town north of Sooke. It runs through urban, rural and wilderness scenery that includes a quiet cove, hidden lake, rural farmland and many more natural wonders.

Whistler Valley Trail

Soak in the views of the Cheakamus River and fresh air along this 40-kilometre paved non-motorized pathway. Touted as one of the resort community’s “signature assets,” the trail connects key destinations in the Village and Upper Village and other commercial centres, major parks and neighbourhoods.

Seymour Valley Trailway

An off-the-radar trail tucked away in North Vancouver at the Lower Seymour River follows a 10-kilometre paved path through diverse types of forest. In case all that riding leaves you hungry, pack a lunch to enjoy at one of the five picnic areas.
