For the first time, wind produces more electricity than nuclear power in the U.K

A report published by researchers at Imperial College London shows windfarms provided 18.8 percent of Britain’s electricity in the first three months of 2018, more than its eight nuclear power stations. This was the first time wind power has managed to supply more electricity than nuclear. Wind power also helped during the winter by generating 12-43 percent of electricity during six days of subzero temperatures.
