Is Trans Mountain a disaster?

According to Canada’s “newspaper of record,” it is indeed.

The paper published an editorial calling Kinder Morgan Inc.’s Trans Mountain pipeline expansion an “economic and constitutional disaster,” in the wake of the company suspending all non-essential spending on the project.

The Globe insists that British Columbia, by protesting the pipeline, is intervening in a federally-approved project and thus violating the “basic tenets of confederation.”
