Why the answer to global warming may be under the ocean

The International Energy Agency (IEA) reported last year that efforts to capture and dispose of carbon dioxide emissions are not moving fast enough. Current “carbon capture and storage” (CCS) facilities are handling only 7.5 percent of the emissions that the world will need to eliminate every year by 2025 if nations are to keep the increase in global warming below 2 C (3.6 F). China is exploring how to bury carbon dioxide under the ocean.
