2011 Burnaby Business Excellence Awards Gala Hilton Vancouver Metrotown November 2, 2011  The theme of the 12th annual Burnaby Business Excellence Awards gala was the 'Roaring Twenties.'  Models wearing flapper dresses greeted guests as the jazzy sounds of Bessie Smith, George Gershwin and Duke Ellington filled the reception with Golden Age inspirations.

The theme of the 12th annual Burnaby Business Excellence Awards gala was the ‘Roaring Twenties.’  Models wearing flapper dresses greeted guests as the jazzy sounds of Bessie Smith, George Gershwin and Duke Ellington filled the reception with Golden Age inspirations. 

In early October 2011, nearly 20 Burnaby businesses were nominated in nine different categories, and the winners were announced at the gala. The evening’s highlights included IBM named as Business of the Year, Left Coast Naturals winning in the Environmental Sustainability category, and the Carter Automotive Family being inducted into the Burnaby Business Hall of Fame.
