Ageism affects young workers as well as older ones
In an era of inclusivity and diversity, ageism is growing as one of the new challenges that businesses face. Ageism or age discrimination occurs when someone discriminates others based on their age alone. This type of discrimination happens mostly among the millennials. Although millennials are considered a technically savvy generation, baby boomers and generation Ys bring more wisdom and resilience, while still possessing a considerable amount of tech skills. This can cause a shift in workplace flow, especially in the hiring part, where it is crucial to hire people for their skills and personalities, not their age.
