Are Facebook job ads unfair to older workers?
The ability of advertisers to deliver their message to a precise audience is the cornerstone of Facebook’s business model, but targeting employment ads to specific age groups may run afoul of laws against age discrimination. Many jurisdictions make it unlawful to “aid” or “abet” age discrimination, a provision that could apply to companies like Facebook that distribute job ads.
