There won’t be any improvement in Canada’s labour supply for at least 10 years, according to a new BDC paper, Labour Shortage in Canada: Here to Stay. As it is, 45 percent of small businesses in B.C. report difficulty filling positions. But not all of the study is doom and gloom. It also points to strategies companies are using to cope, for example, by developing an employee value proposition for your organization and then marketing that to potential hires, much in the same way you do with products among potential customers.
The BCBusiness editorial team lives for big ideas, bold entrepreneurs and the business stories that make B.C. tick.
