How accessible workplaces for people with disabilities help the economy: report

The Conference Board of Canada has published a report which indicates that improving physical accessibility in workplaces for people with disabilities would result in a dramatic increase in labour force participation and consumer spending. One in 10 Canadians have physical disabilities that impair their mobility, vision or hearing. Reasonable investments in workplace access would allow over 550,000 Canadians with disabilities to participate more fully in the workforce, increasing GDP by $16.8 billion by 2030.
