“For me the mantra is ‘embrace it.’ Get the right rain gear and get out there and love it. The brisk wind and a bit of rain and the fresh, misty air are the perfect antidote to a crazed business week. There are lots of great movies rolling out this fall both at the film festival and at commercial theatres. When I’m not working or riding my bike, I’m watching TV or going to movies.”

LINDA LANDO, Co-Owner, Granville Fine Art

“Well, I’m a Vancouverite so I’m used to it. I exercise lots, and if it’s raining, it’s not a big deal. I’m a runner and I manage to run through the rain regardless. Just getting out is important too. I’ll go out for lunch with a friend, or dinner with somebody. It’s also the busiest art season, so that keeps me motivated; it’s kind of now or never.”

DAVID POOLE, Senior Vice-
president, B.C. & Yukon
Division, Scotiabank

“I’m originally from southern Ontario, so I find the weather here quite comfortable. I’m actually very active, so I don’t tend to get down no matter what the weather is. One way to soften the blow on the weather side is to get out and enjoy the BC Lions. We’ve got a great football team and we’ve got a great stadium in Empire Field.”
