How gender equality could boost economic growth

An Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) report shows that adding more women to the workforce over the past 50 years has increased economic growth per capita as much as 20 percent. The Paris-based organization also says that implementing family-friendly policies that support gender equality in the labour market could add another 30 percent to economic growth rates by 2040.
