BC Business
The BCBusiness 30 Under 30
BCBusiness wants to crown British Columbia’s top 30 emerging business leaders, disruptors and game-changers across all of our province’s industries—from mining to media. And they have to be 29 or younger as of April 1, 2014.
Our 30 Under 30 will celebrate B.C.’s young guns who excel in their respective industries, give back to their community and planet and who will lead business in this province for years to come.
Winners of our 30 Under 30 will be featured in the April 2014 issue of BCBusiness and on BCBusiness.ca, with one exceptionally amazing young world-changer gracing that issue’s cover.
EVENT
Join us for a special cocktail reception in honour of these exceptional young men and women, celebrate and network with tomorrow’s leaders at the first annual BCBusiness 30 Under 30 party!
ELIGIBILITY
You can nominate anyone who resides and works in B.C. and was born after April 1, 1984 (yes, we feel old, too). The nomination process is simple and free: just fill in the fields below and submit. You can enter someone you know or you can put yourself forward.
WINNING TIPS
We’re looking for people who are excelling professionally—innovating in their industry, making competitors nervous and generally changing the world. But we also want those with hearts of gold—giving back to people and the planet. Ultimately we want to hear about big brains and big hearts and how this rare combination is raising the profile of business in our province.
Tell us all this in 150 words or less. This is the important part because it’s your sales pitch to get your nomination to the next round. Get specific with recent accomplishment. General praise like “because she’s awesome” will not do.
NEXT STEPS
This nomination for our 2014 30 Under 30 competition closed on October 21st, 2013 at 5 p.m. PST.
Nominees who make the shortlist will be asked to give us more info about why they should be recognized. After a careful review by the BCBusiness editorial team and a panel of experts, 30 winners will be notified.
Each of our 30 will be profiled in the April 2014 issue of BCBusiness. A special celebration in honour of these exceptional young men and women is scheduled for late April 2014 in Vancouver.
