The 2016 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards ceremony and gala

Tickets still available to the 2017 EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards

Last year more than 1,300 business leaders and VIPs gathered at the Vancouver Convention Centre to honour the finalists of EY’s 23rd Entrepreneur of the Year Awards and network before the ceremony. This year’s event recognizes 36 entrepreneurs for their financial performance, vision, leadership, personal integrity and entrepreneurial spirit, plus two more for their outstanding achievements as social entrepreneurs. The businesses of the 2017 Pacific finalists employ 2,753 people and have seen year-over-year growth of almost $728 million in annual revenues.

The awards are a global program administered by EY (Ernst & Young LLP), which has acknowledged more than 10,000 entrepreneurs since launching in 1986. The overall winner of this year’s Pacific region finalists will later compete with winners from Atlantic, Québec, Ontario and Prairies to be named Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year, who will compete with winners from more than 50 countries for the title of EY World Entrepreneur of the Year in June 2018.

It’s not too late to get tickets to the ceremony and gala, one of B.C.’s most prestigious business networking events, which celebrates the community of entrepreneurs. Although the registration site is now closed, contact Sandie Atkinson at EY for tickets.

BCBusiness, which has partnered with EY Entrepreneur of the Year for 24 years, has published profiles of all of the 2017 finalists in the October issue, on newsstand next week.
