Variety 2012 Golden Heart Award Dinner Fairmont Hotel Vancouver March 14, 2012 Variety The Children’s Charity held their annual Golden Heart Award Dinner at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver in honour of the Milan & Maureen Ilich Foundation. Milan Ilich, founder of Progressive Construction and Progressive Contracting, first established his charitable foundation in 1977. Over the years, the Milan & Maureen Ilich Foundation has donated over $13 million to more than 190 groups throughout the Lower Mainland.

Milan Ilich, founder of Progressive Construction and Progressive Contracting, first established his charitable foundation in 1977. Over the years, the Milan & Maureen Ilich Foundation has donated over $13 million to more than 190 groups throughout the Lower Mainland. The Golden Heart Award is Variety’s most prestigious mark of distinction, honouring individuals and organizations who have made exceptional contributions throughout the province and country.
Guests enjoyed entertainment by country singer AJ Woodworth and Perry Ehrlich’s Show Stoppers. The evening’s speakers included Bob Lenarduzzi, Joseph Segal, Ron Toigo and Rick Ilich. The dinner raised more than $460,000 for children in B.C. with special needs.
