Websites’ tracker codes could be stealing more than your privacy
Ghostery, a track blocker tools developer, has conducted a study that shows how tracker codes embedded in websites is not just catching users’ data but also makes websites longer to load.
Sites with embedded trackers load in an average of 19 seconds, compared to 8.6 seconds with Ghostery’s tools to filter them.
These findings also show that tracker codes could increase a site’s bounce rates—the percentage of visitors leaving after browsing just one page—which will be a huge disadvantage to both site operators and users.
