Why the privacy crisis is bigger than Facebook

According to the U.S.-based digital-right advocacy non-profit Fight for the Future, not just big tech companies but also retail chains, hospitals and government agencies are gathering massive amounts of sensitive personal information. Companies are looking at more and more ways of figuring out what we are thinking from analyzing the audio of what we say to communication styles. The question is, will this be a turning point or is being tracked through our devices the price of online connectivity?
