B.C. no longer has a judge on the Supreme Court

With the retirement of Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin earlier this month, British Columbia no longer has a representative on the country's highest court.

With the retirement of Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin earlier this month, British Columbia no longer has a representative on the country’s highest court. 

McLachlin retired after 28 years on the bench, leaving the court with three judges from Quebec, three from Ontario, one from Newfoundland and two from Alberta.

Some, including NDP justice critic Murray Rankin, from Victoria, have rallied against the decision to leave the province unrepresented
