With its undulating dual-tower construction and glass-bottomed pool corridor, Concord Pacific’s THE ARC features what is sure to be one of Vancouver’s most thoughtfully designed exteriors. And when it comes to the inside, condominium seekers will be happy to hear that they can expect the same.
“We wanted [THE ARC] to be spectacular looking but we didn’t want to compromise the interior dimensions and sizing of the suites,” says Grant Murray, vice-president, sales at Concord Pacific. “We put a lot of effort into making the rooms as functional as possible.”
Each of THE ARC’s 560 units has an open concept plan with tall, expansive windows; contemporary, integrated millwork; and high-end finishes like stainless steel and marble. Not a single square foot is wasted in the one- to three-bedroom suites, which utilize custom designed closets, handy drawer organization systems and magic-corner pullouts to help maximize storage in tight spaces.
A glass flex wall separates the bedroom from the living area in most units and can easily be rolled back to create a more open layout for entertaining. Meanwhile, a built-in wall bed can be flipped up to reveal additional seating and ample floor space. Completing the trifecta of space-changing functions is a set of al fresco sliding doors that stretches over seven-feet from the bedroom to the den, and, when opened, extends the indoors comfortably onto the balcony.
“It’s definitely a step up in terms of creating really luxurious living in small accommodations,” notes Murray of the expandable units.
In the kitchen, engineered quartz stone countertops, soft-closing slab cabinetry and energy-efficient Miele appliances form a sleek and practical workspace. A white marble backsplash rounds out the ultra-modern feel and extends into the bathroom, where it’s tiled from wall to wall.
THE ARC’s suites are also equipped with a central heating and cooling system, which allow condo dwellers to cool down more efficiently in the summer.
Beyond the suites, the property’s common areas will also have a decidedly luxe feel, thanks to an abundance of floor-to-ceiling windows; winding, white staircases; and, in the world-class amenities space on the twentieth floor—which includes an unprecedented spa complete with pool, sauna and steam room—a kaleidoscopic glass ceiling that you may recognize from one of Las Vegas’s most iconic institutions.
“It will look more like a resort hotel than a typical building,” says Murray.
