Vancouver real estate market shows signs of slowing down

Could Vancouver’s real estate bubble burst? 

It’s possible, according to some experts

Monthly real estate figures for the Lower Mainland will be released for every municipality, with predictions of significant drops in total sales compared to a year ago. 

Cameron Muir, chief economist at the British Columbia Real Estate Association says that sales across most markets in B.C. are down over the first quarter of this year. 

There are a few factors contributing to the downfall, including new mortgage stress test rules, interest rate hikes and new housing taxes by the government.
