My dad used to say, “Always leave room for the possibility that you could be wrong.” He also said, “The smarter you are, the more you allow for that possibility of being wrong.” Society seems to consider it a weakness when we change our minds, but I don’t think it is at all. I think it’s a strength. If you’re on a sailboat and the winds change, you’re going to lose the race if you don’t change tack.
