A sold-out crowd of 500 guests descended on the Vancouver Aquarium for its biggest, once-a-year signature fundraising gala, the Night at the Aquarium, with presenting sponsor PCL Construction. The evening began with a VIP reception in the brand new ocean courtyard, followed by a Tattinger Champagne welcome.

Aquarium staff performed a reef-shark dive in the tropical gallery before the live auction began with emcees from CTV News, Mike Killeen and Coleen Christie. The evening ended with an Air Canada raffle draw and a performance by The Devin Cuddy Band.

This year’s gala raised more than $400,000 to support the Aquarium’s conservation, research and education programs, all aimed at conserving aquatic life.
