Night at the Aquarium Gala 2016
Vancouver Aquarium
June 23
More than 450 guests attended the Vancouver Aquarium’s annual Night at the Aquarium Gala, raising over $460,000 to support ocean conservation. The presenting sponsor was PCL Construction Group.
The evening began with a cocktail reception in the outdoor courtyard with wine from Whitehaven Winery, beer courtesy of Red Truck Beer Company and Ocean Wise caesars created by the head bartender at the Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Lobby Lounge. Silent auction items were available for viewing before the six-course dinner set among the marine life in the aquarium. After dinner, Fred Lee hosted a live auction.
The evening concluded with an address by John Nightingale, Vancouver Aquarium president and CEO, before a live band took the stage and guests picked up their auction items.
Night at the Aquarium brought together long-time supporters, community members, Ocean Wise chef ambassadors and passionate conservationists to celebrate 60 years of ocean conservation.
