Last Sunday’s Passions 2012 raised more than $110,000 for the Dr. Peter AIDS Foundation. This ninth anniversary of the event was presented by Scotiabank and organized by Nathan Fong, Vancouver’s renowned chef and food media personality, who brought together two dozen of Vancouver’s top restaurants and chefs and a guest list of 250 people.

Now recognized as one of Vancouver’s most popular food and wine events, executive chefs like Quang Dang of West Restaurant and Chef Hidekazu Tojo stepped out of their kitchen to bring unlimited servings of sampler size dishes to event guests. From sushi, braised beef, fresh seafood and gourmet desserts, the menu at Passions impressed even the most discerning palates of Vancouver’s food and drink aficionados.

In addition to the culinary showcase, a remarkable silent and live auction featuring luxurious stay-cations, a weekend of sailing, limited edition wines, and a private dinner hosted by Nathan Wong, helped raise funds for the Foundation.

Passions has raised over $900,000 since its inception and will be 10 years strong in 2013.
