For the past seven years the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce has been acknowledging and supporting small businesses in their community. The Westside Awards of Distinction event has been known to bring together and celebrate the achievement of local businesses.

From community spirit to green business, the Kits Chamber of Commerce rewards an array of businesses. The event was fabulously hosted by the wonderful Pia Shandel of Go2Productions. Guests wined and dined while anxiously awaiting the awards presentation that started up later in the evening.

The infamous Mountain Equipment Co-op took home the award for Retailer of the Year while Rocky Mountain Flatbread Co. took home the award for Green Business of the Year. For all of the winners, see the complete list.
