Although many people enjoy eating alone, it may have a downside. Some studies indicate that eating by yourself could lead to depression,decreased blood supply to the heart, obesity, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and high blood pressure. One survey suggests that solitary eating has a stronger link to unhappiness than any other factor except mental illness. Others say it’s not that simple.
