A new survey ranks B.C. tourism destinations based on the number of travel experiences rated very good or excellent on TripAdvisor and Yelp

The Resonance Report: British Columbia Quality Tourism Index 2015 ranks B.C. destinations based on the number of travel experiences that have been recommended and rated as very good or excellent on TripAdvisor and Yelp.

Produced by Resonance Consulting, which advises the tourism industry on travel and leisure trends, the survey analyzed online reviews based on 13 factors: (business) number of cities with direct regularly scheduled commercial flights; number of corporate headquarters; size of convention centre; (leisure) number of very good or excellent visitor-recommended outdoor parks and activities, amusements, food experiences, performances, culture and landmarks, museums, nightlife, restaurants, shops; (both) number of very good or excellent visitor-recommended hotels.

Scores are a weighted average of 89 per cent leisure and 11 per cent business rankings.
